Who we are

Hanai is a Hawaiian word meaning chosen family, a bond formed by care, not by blood. Every year, millions of pets are returned to shelters or euthanized, often not because they are unwanted, but because the match was not right. Hanai Pets was created to change that.

Hanai Pets builds tools for what happens after adoption day. We give shelters a branded onboarding experience, outcome tracking, and a way to stay connected to every pet they place. We give owners AI-guided care, a portable health record that works at any vet, and an emergency card that travels with their pet everywhere.
